1st Jäger Company

Light infantry on land, on water and with vehicles.

Infantry operate with light ground vehicles, boats and by swimming, securing areas and engaging hostile forces on the attack and in defence – in cities, in open terrain and on waterways.

They carry out patrols, close reconnaissance and amphibious operations and are in constant contact with the enemy. Tasks vary with rank and function.

The infantry stands for discipline, comradeship and endurance. As the core of the ground forces, it secures presence and control in the area of operations.
